On 5 March 2020, our association Go Green collaborated with the association Solem to organize an exciting creative upcycling workshop.
We noticed that people often choose to buy new products instead of using what they already have to make the same product themselves. Making something from scratch is not only good for the environment, but is great for the creator. The creator gets to use their crafting skills as well es their creativity and imagination to create a one of a kind useful object.
Everyone brought different tools and at home materials that they don’t use like : cans, plastic bottles, newspaper, twine, rubber bands, ribbon.
We gathered everything we had into a big pile, we played loud music, rolled up our sleeves and started working.
To customize the plant pots we used markers, paint, chalk, colored pencils, crayons.

During this workshop the disabled users had the chance to work together with young eco activists from different high schools in Skopje. These volunteers were able to collaborate with the users to create colorful plant pots.
